Because GoGo Tools uses a "Bring Your Own Backend" architecture, we do not force you to log into a central, cloud-based database. Instead, access to your premium software is verified directly through your private License Key.

While you can enter your license key directly into the specific app you are using, the best place to manage your ecosystem is inside the GoGo Toolbox. Here is everything you need to know about unlocking apps, saving your state, and managing your secure keychain.

1. Unlocking an App

When you visit your Toolbox, any apps you haven't activated yet will appear locked and grayed out. To unlock an app:

  1. Paste the License Key you received in your purchase email into the input field.
  2. Click Unlock.

Our server will instantly verify your key with LemonSqueezy. Once validated, the card will light up, and the app will officially be unlocked for use!

The Seamless Cookie Handshake When you unlock an app in the Toolbox, it drops a secure cookie into your browser. If you launch the app using that exact same browser, it will automatically read the cookie and log you in without asking for your key again.

2. The "Save State" Button

Once an app like GoGo Tracker or GoGo Signage is unlocked, you will notice a new field appears asking for your Google Apps Script Web App URL. (This is the URL you generate when you deploy your serverless backend).

After pasting your Google URL into that field, you must click Save State. This action binds your License Key and your Backend URL together and saves them securely to your browser's local memory. Once saved, you can use the QR Provisioner to instantly send both pieces of data to your mobile phone!

3. Your Privacy & The Local Keychain

One of the biggest benefits of GoGo Tools is privacy. Your license keys and backend URLs are never stored on our servers. Instead, they are saved locally to your device's browser—what we call your "Keychain."

Because your Keychain lives locally on your computer, you have total control over it. However, this also means that if you switch to a brand new computer or a different browser (like moving from Safari to Chrome), your new browser won't know your keys yet.

Transferring Your Keychain (Import/Export)

If you need to move to a new device or simply want to back up your setup, use the controls at the top of the Toolbox:

  • Backup State: Clicks this to instantly download a lightweight, encrypted .json file containing all of your saved license keys and backend URLs.
  • Restore State: On your new computer, click this button and select your .json file. Your entire Toolbox will instantly unlock and restore all of your settings exactly as you left them!

4. What if I lose my key?

Don't panic! Since your transaction is handled securely by LemonSqueezy, you always have a permanent record of your purchase. If you ever lose your email receipt or your License Key, you can easily retrieve it by logging into your LemonSqueezy customer portal using the email address you purchased with.
